How to Offer Salatul Tasbeeh & Its Benefits

Performing salatul tasbeeh is a powerful way to connect with Allah and gain many blessings. Salatul tasbih is one of the most important prayers in Islam and has many benefits.

Importance of Salatul Tasbeeh:

Praising Allah and His blessings is an excellent practice to remember as you recite the Salatul Tasbeeh. Remembering Allah's blessings and favours will help you feel grateful for them and encourage you to continue praying for His forgiveness.

Salatul Tasbeeh can be recited in various ways. Still, the most common way is to say "Allahu akbar" (God is great) followed by "la'illaha illallah" (there is no god but Allah) and then recite any other verses from the Qur'an that may apply. Some people also say a short phrase called a tasbeeh after each phrase of salatul tasbeeh.

The purpose of salatul tasbeeh is not just to pray but also to ask for forgiveness and blessings from God. It's often said that when you recite salatul tasbeeh, you're like a beggar asking for charity since you're asking for help from someone who has infinite resources.

How to Perform Salatul Tasbeeh?

Salatul Tasbeeh consists of four Rakat, and one can pray it a day. However, Islam does not allow to pray one away time or during sunrise, sunset, or makrooh times. So it is best to perform Salatul Tasbeeh before Zuhr (Fatawa Alamgeeri).

Here is the Dua to read in Salatul Tasbeeh:

“Subhan Allahi Wal Hamdulillahi Wa Laa ilaha illal Laahu Wallahu Akbar.”

Here is the way how to pray Salatul Tasbeeh. The aim is to recite the above Tasbeeh 300 times in Four Rakats in the following way:

1)      First Rakaat:

In the first rakaat, after reading praise "Subhaana Kalla humma…", read the mentioned tasbeeh fifteen times. Now recite taawuz and tasmia, read surah Fatiha and any Surah or three small Ayats, and then re-read the tasbeeh ten times. Bow to Roku saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar), after reciting "Subhaana Rabbiyal Azeem" a minimum of three times, read the tasbeeh 10 times in Ruku. Saying “Samee Allahu Liman Hamidah Rabbana Lakal Hamdh” gets up from ruku to the qiyam position.

Now read the tasbeeh ten times. Go to Sajdah saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar), and after reciting “Subhaana Rabbiyal A’la” a minimum of three times, read the tasbih ten times in Sajdah. Now go after first Sajdah to go to Jalsa (sitting position) saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar). Sit in Jalsa and read Tasbih ten times. Go to Sajood again, saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar), and after reciting “Subhaana Rabbiyal A’la” a minimum of three times, read the tasbih ten times in Sajdah again.

2)      Second Rakaat

When it is time to begin the second Rakat of the day, Muslims stand up and say Takbeer (God is great). Do the second Rakat in the same way as the first, but before reading tasmia and Surah Fatiha, read the Tasbeeh fifteen times. Follow the rest as the first Rakat. After the second Sajdah of the Second Rakat sits in Qaidah (first sitting), Attahiyat, Durood, and Dua get up for 3rd Rakat without saying, Salam.

3)      Third Rakaat

Now offer the third Rakat like the first Rakat, with praises "Subhaana Kalla humma…", read the tasbeeh fifteen times. Follow the rest as before.

4)      Fourth Rakaat:

In Fourth Rakaat, repeat the same method as in the second Rakaat until you sit for Qaidah (the last sitting) after the second sajdah of the fourth Rakah. In Qaidah recite Attahiyat, Durood, Dua finishing Salah with Salam.
