Tarawih- Night prayer during Ramadan

Tarawih is an Islamic night prayer that is offered during Ramadan. It is an essential prayer for Muslims and is usually done before sundown.

What is Tarawih?

Tarawih is a prayer that Muslims offer in the month of Ramadan. Muslims believe the Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad in Ramadan, and so they also believe that reciting it during this month will have a unique effect on their souls.

The Tarawih prayer is performed at night after Isha (night) prayer. The number of rakahs (units) performed during Tarawih depends on how much time one has before the start of Fajr (dawn).

Why Is It Important to Offer Tarawih?

Tarawih is an integral part of the Muslim religion. It is a time for Muslims to offer night prayers to Allah. It is a time when Muslims can focus on their spirituality and pray for the forgiveness of their sins.

To offer Tarawih, one must have completed the daily five prayers and be in ritual purity. The prayers are offered at night, after sunset and before dawn, with each prayer being recited twice in succession.

Muslims believe that Tarawih was first practised by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions during Ramadan in the mosque of Medina.

How Is Tarawih Offered?

The Tarawih prayer is offered in the evenings of Ramadan. It can be offered in the congregation or privately.

In the congregation, there are two types of Tarawih prayers:

  • The Tarawih prayer with a sermon

  • The Tarawih prayer without a sermon.

The time for the Tarawih prayer with a sermon is 20 minutes, and the time for the Tarawih prayer without a sermon is 10 minutes.

What Are the Benefits Of Offering Tarawih?

Tarawih is an optional prayer that Muslims are encouraged to perform during Ramadan. The Tarawih is a voluntary prayer practised in the month of Ramadan. It is performed at night, after the evening prayer and before the morning prayer.

The benefits of Tarawih are immense. One of them is that it helps increase one's spiritual connection with God and repent for their sins.

It is a particular time for worshippers to get closer to Allah, and this can do by reciting the Quran.

Some benefits of offering Tarawih are:

  1. A sense of peace and tranquillity

  2. A time for worship and reflection

  3. A chance to get closer to Allah

Conclusion:

Tarawih is a vital night prayer that offers Muslims many benefits. The Tarawih prayer was an innovation of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The Tarawih prayers are usually performed with an imam leading the prayers. You can find many people performing this prayer in mosques worldwide, even if they are not Muslim.

Surah Fatiha

The Quran is the religious text Book of Islam. It is composed of chapters known as surahs, arranged in chronological order. Surah Fatiha is the first chapter or Surah of the Qur'an, and it is considered to be one of the most remarkable chapters in the world. The Meaning of Surah Fatiha: In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. The opening phrase of Surah Fatiha - "In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful" - is a declaration of faith in one God. Muslims believe Allah is all-powerful and all-knowing and that He created everything in existence.  The first word of this verse, "In," refers to Allah being in control and responsible for everything that happens.  The second word, "Name," means that Allah is worthy of worship because He has a unique name (and no other god has a similar name).  The last two words are also important: "the Most Merciful." It tells us how merciful Allah is towards us - He...

Salatul tasbih is one of the most important prayers in Islam and has many benefits.  Importance of Salatul Tasbeeh: Praising Allah and His blessings is an excellent practice to remember as you recite the Salatul Tasbeeh. Remembering Allah's blessings and favours will help you feel grateful for them and encourage you to continue praying for His forgiveness. Salatul Tasbeeh can be recited in various ways. Still, the most common way is to say "Allahu akbar " (God is great) followed by "la'illaha illallah" (there is no god but Allah) and then recite any other verses from the Qur'an that may apply. Some people also say a short phrase called a tasbeeh after each phrase of salatul tasbeeh. The purpose of salatul tasbeeh is not just to pray but also to ask for forgiveness and blessings from God. It's often said that when you recite salatul tasbeeh, you...

Fasting 6 Days Of Shawwal

Fasting is an essential part of Islam. Muslims are supposed to fast during the month of Ramadan. However, there are times when Muslims are allowed to break their fasts. This article will discuss the fasting days in the month of Shawwal . There is no way to compare Shawwal with Ramadan's glory, but it still has importance and dignity. Additionally, fasting during Shawwal provides an opportunity to break the fast on six days. Fasting during this month helps us become more pious and aware of our sins, and it also teaches us about patience and humility. Muslims are also encouraged to give charity during Shawwal, as this month is considered a time of generosity. Hadith (PBUH) on the Fasting in the Month of Shawwal: It is a Hadith that is reported from Abu Hurairah that he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he has fasted for the entire year." This Hadith exemplifies the importance of fa...

No Place For Racism In Islam

Islam is the second-largest religion in the world. Muslims account for over 1.8 billion people worldwide. Islam is an Abrahamic religion that shares many similarities with Judaism and Christianity. What is Racism in Islam? Racism in Islam refers to systematic discrimination against people based on their race or ethnicity. It includes, but is not limited to, discriminating against black people, Jews, Christians, and other religious minorities in Muslim-majority countries. Islam explicitly forbids any form of racism and condemns all forms of discrimination. Muslims must fight against all forms of racism and hatred. The message of Islam was not solely meant to address the mental health issues that racism exhibited. Rather, it depicted the social decay in pre-Islamic Mecca that the Prophets conveyed through their messages. He also addressed this issue by winning disciples to a new political project aimed at moving beyond the old, ignorant social order. Racism before Islam: Unti...
