What are the Duas of Laylatul Qadr?

The Duas of Laylatul Qadr is two short prayers that are recited in Islam during the month of Ramadan. They are called "dua" because they comprise a supplication and a request.

        i.            The first dua, or prayer, is called the "dua al-lay," or the "night prayer." It is usually recited in the early hours of Ramadan night before sunrise.

       ii.            The second dua, or prayer, is called the "dua al-Qadr," or the "prayer of destiny." It is usually recited at dusk on the last day of Ramadan.

 Both duas are considered very important and can have a powerful effect on behalf of those who recite them.

 اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ كَرِيمٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي



What Are Some Historical Events That Happened On Laylatul Qadr?

Laylatul Qadr is the night of Ramadan when the Qur'an was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad. Muslims believe that the gates of heaven open during this night, and Allah sends down His blessings and mercy on believers. This holiday is also celebrated by exchanging gifts and praying together.

Some historical events that have happened on Laylatul Qadr include:

·         The Battle of Badr in 624 AD, in which Muhammad and his followers defeated their opponents

·         The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah in 630 AD cemented Muslim control over Syria, Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon

·         The first successful hijacking of an airplane by Islamists was on July 17th, 1944
